🎨 Your Visit

Do I need a reservation?

For individuals and small groups, reservations are generally not required. Walk-ins are welcome, and seating is first-come, first-served. Larger groups and parties should contact us ahead of time so we can help make sure there's room for everyone.

Do I need to know what I want to paint before I come?

Not at all! Some guests arrive with a very specific idea. Others browse our pottery until something inspires them. Both are great ways to get started. Our team is always happy to help you choose a project.

Do I need to be artistic?

Absolutely not! Pottery painting is for everyone. You don't need previous experience or special artistic skills. We'll show you how our glazes and tools work, and you can create at your own pace.

How long does a visit take?

It depends on the project and your creative style. Some guests paint fairly quickly, while others enjoy taking their time with details and designs. We recommend allowing yourself plenty of time to relax and enjoy the experience rather than treating it like a race. For more about what happens during your visit, see How Pottery Painting Works.

💰 Pricing

How much does it cost?

We have pottery projects at a variety of price points. Every piece is clearly marked with its price, so you can choose something that fits your budget.

Do you charge a sitting fee?

No! There is no separate sitting fee. Your project price includes your pottery, the materials and supplies you use, glazing, kiln firing, and storage of your finished piece for up to 30 days.

Are the paints and supplies included?

Yes! Your project price includes our glaze colors, design tools, decorative supplies, and the finishing work we do after you leave. We have more than 100 glaze colors, so there are plenty of possibilities!

🔥 Your Finished Pottery

How long until I get my pottery?

Your finished pottery is typically ready for pickup in about 7–10 days. Your receipt will show the expected pickup date.

Why can't I take my pottery home the same day?

Because your pottery isn't finished when you put down the paintbrush! It needs to dry, go through the glazing and kiln-firing process, cool completely, and be carefully prepared for pickup. Want to see what happens behind the scenes? Check out How Pottery Painting Works.

Can you finish my pottery sooner?

Sometimes, depending on our current kiln schedule and your particular project. If you have a deadline, please ask us before you begin painting. An expedited turnaround may be possible for an additional rush fee.

How long will you keep my finished pottery?

We’re happy to hold your completed pottery for up to 30 days after its ready date, unless we've made another arrangement with you.

👨👩👧👦 Kids, Friends & Groups

What is the minimum age?

The minimum age to be in the studio is 2 years old. Strollers of any size are not permitted.

Can I bring my kids?

Absolutely! We love having families create together. Young children need to remain with their accompanying adult and be able to stay seated or on a lap while in the studio. For more information about visiting with children, see Plan Your Visit.

Can older kids or teens come without their parents?

Older kids, tweens, and teens often enjoy painting with friends or siblings. Drop-off visits may be possible depending on the circumstances. Please contact us ahead of time if you're planning a group visit.

Can I bring a group of friends?

Yes! Small groups are welcome as walk-ins. Seating is first-come, first-served. For larger groups, we recommend contacting us before you arrive so we can help you plan your visit.

🥤 A Few Practical Questions

Can I bring my own drink?

Yes! You're welcome to bring your own beverage. Please leave food and snacks at home, and wash your hands before handling your pottery.

Will pottery glaze ruin my clothes?

Ceramic glaze is water-based and generally washes out with water and, if necessary, a little soap. We also have artist smocks available in children's and adult sizes.

Can I bring someone who isn't painting?

Yes, within reason. Sometimes a parent, friend, partner, or family member wants to come along. When seating is limited, we ask that non-painters be kept to a minimum so there is room for guests who are creating.

Do you host birthday parties and special events?

Yes! Pottery painting makes a fun and memorable activity for birthdays, celebrations, and group events. Parties need to be booked in advance rather than arriving as a walk-in group. For details, please visit our Parties page or complete our Party Request Form.
