Never painted pottery before? Not sure what you want to make? That's exactly how many of our guests arrive!

At Art Füzd, there’s no right or wrong way to create. You can come with a plan, browse until something inspires you, or simply show up ready to relax and have some fun. Choose a pottery piece you love, pick your colors, explore our collection of design tools, and make it your own.

Then, when you're finished, we'll take care of the glazing and kiln firing. You have the fun part - we'll handle the rest!

🎨 Before You Visit

A little advance planning can make your visit even more enjoyable. If you're the kind of person who likes to know what you're getting into before trying something new, here's everything you need to know.

🖌️ 1. Choose Your Project

Start by browsing our selection of pottery. We typically have lots of different pieces in stock, from practical and functional items to decorative pieces and everything in between.

Looking for something specific? Many of our available pieces can be viewed on our website, but our in-studio selection can change frequently.

Not sure what to choose? No problem! Our team is happy to help you find something that's a good fit for your interests, your budget, and the amount of time you'd like to spend creating.

💭 2. Think About What You'd Like to Make

Are you creating a special gift for someone? Making something for your home? Looking for a fun project with friends? Or do you simply want a little time to unplug, relax, and play with color?

You might want to make something purely decorative, something you'll actually use, or a piece that combines both function and personality.

And if you have absolutely no idea what you want to make, that's perfectly fine, too. Sometimes the best projects are the ones you discover once you're here!

🌈 3. Explore the Colors

This is where things get really fun.

We have more than 100 glaze colors, along with lots of design tools and techniques to help you create something uniquely yours.

Do you love bright, bold colors? Prefer soft, muted tones? Want something classic and simple - or colorful and completely over-the-top?

There are plenty of possibilities, and you don't need to be an artist to make something beautiful. Our team can explain the different glazes and help you figure out how to bring your idea to life.

A little tip: The colors can look different before and after firing, so don't worry if your piece doesn't look exactly like your finished vision while you're painting it. That's part of the magic of pottery!

Choose from our extensive selection of glaze colors and use our design tools and supplies to personalize your pottery.

Paint at your own pace. Chat with your friends. Enjoy some quiet creative time. There's no need to rush.

Have fun first!
At Art Füzd, we like to say, “Have fun first!” You'll settle up when you're finished creating that day.

We'll do the finishing work.
Once you're done, your piece goes through the glazing and kiln-firing process here at the studio. The kiln is where the colors transform and your pottery develops its durable, glossy finish.

Come back for the big reveal!
Your finished pottery is typically ready for pickup in about 7–10 days. Your receipt will tell you the expected pickup date.

🚶 Walk-Ins Are Welcome

For small groups and individual visitors, no reservation is needed. Seating is first-come, first-served.

If you'd like a particular table or area of the studio, arriving near the beginning of the day gives you the best chance of getting your preferred spot.

Bringing a larger group? You're welcome to walk in, but depending on the size of your group and the day and time you're planning to visit, we recommend texting us at 724-278-3893. We can let you know how things are looking and, when possible, help reserve tables for your group.

🌿 A Tip for a More Relaxed Visit

If you're looking for a quieter creative experience, consider visiting during the week or on a day immediately before or after a holiday. Those times can be especially nice for slowing down and enjoying your project.

🥤 What Should I Bring?

✨ Your creativity. Maybe your favorite drink, too.

You don't need to bring art supplies - we've got those covered.

You are welcome to bring your own beverage, but please leave food and snacks at home. Before painting, be sure your hands are clean and free of oily or greasy residue, as oils can affect how glaze adheres to the pottery.

🔌 Bringing a Phone Charger?

We've got you covered. There are three USB outlets available along the left wall for your convenience.

👕 What Should I Wear?

Whatever you're comfortable in! Ceramic glaze washes out with water and, if necessary, a little soap. We also have artist smocks available in both children's and adult sizes if you'd like an extra layer of protection while you're in your creative zone.

👨👩👧👦 Coming With Kids?

We love seeing young artists get creative, and a little preparation helps everyone enjoy their visit.

🧒 Our Minimum Age Is 2 Years Old

Children must be at least two years old to be in the studio, and strollers aren't permitted.

For younger children, please plan to stay with them throughout their visit. We aren't a childcare or babysitting facility, so children may not be dropped off unless they are participating in an arrangement specifically approved by the studio.

For everyone's comfort, children need to be able to remain seated or on a parent's lap while in the studio. Running, yelling, or disruptive behavior isn't permitted.

🎒 Older Kids, Tweens & Teens

Older kids and teens often enjoy painting with their friends or siblings, and drop-off visits can work particularly well for this age group. Please contact us if you'd like to discuss your group's plans.

💚 Coming With Friends or Family?

That's one of our favorite ways to enjoy Art Füzd!

Some people come together and choose completely different projects. Others decide to make matching pieces. A group of friends might all choose the same pottery and create completely different designs - or everyone might find something that's totally their own.

There's no need for everyone to have the same idea.

You can paint, chat, laugh, relax, and enjoy creating together.

👀 Bringing Someone Who Isn't Painting?

We understand that sometimes a friend, parent, partner, or family member wants to come along and watch.

When seating is limited, we ask that non-painters be kept to a minimum so guests who are creating have a place to sit. For walk-ins, our general guideline is no more than one non-painter per table of four, or approximately 25% of the total group.

💰 How Much Does It Cost?

No Sitting Fees. No Surprise Supply Charges.

At Art Füzd, the price you see on the pottery is the price that covers your creative experience.

Your project price includes:

• Your bisque pottery piece
• All the glaze colors you want to use
• Use of our design tools and decorative supplies
• Glazing and finishing by our staff
• Kiln firing
• Storage of your finished piece for up to 30 days

We have projects at a variety of price points, and the shelves are clearly marked so you can choose something that fits your budget.

If you're unsure about the price of a particular piece, just ask us before you start painting. We're happy to check for you!

🔥 When Will My Pottery Be Ready?

Pottery takes a little time - and that's part of the process!

After you finish painting, your piece needs time to dry. Then it is glazed and fired in our ceramic kiln at extremely high temperatures.

During firing, the colors transform and the pottery develops its finished, durable surface.

We have a large kiln onsite, but every project goes through the process carefully and in its turn.

Your pottery is typically ready for pickup in about 7–10 days, and your receipt will clearly indicate the expected pickup date.

⏱️ Need It Sooner?

If you're making a gift or have travel plans, please talk with us before you begin your project. Depending on the current kiln schedule and your particular piece, an expedited turnaround may sometimes be possible for an additional rush fee.

Please don't wait until checkout to ask about a rush - it's much easier for us to determine what's possible before you start.

🏡 Picking Up Your Finished Pottery

The best part? Coming back to see how your piece turned out!

Your pickup date will be listed on your receipt, and you can also check your order status online.

Please pick up your finished pottery within 30 days of its ready date unless we've made another arrangement with you. We're happy to hold completed projects for up to 30 days, but we're unable to take responsibility for projects that aren't picked up within that timeframe.

🎉 Planning a Party or Special Event?

We love celebrating with groups!

For birthday parties and other larger events - especially children's parties - we ask that you book in advance rather than simply arriving as a walk-in. This helps us create a fun experience for your group without disrupting other guests who are enjoying the studio.
