"Welcome to My Creative Art Party!"
We welcome both small and large parties. We don't have any minimum requirements for number of kids, etc. We typically schedule child parties outside of studio open hours so your child and his/her friends have the entire studio all to themselves and access to us for immediate assistance and party-going fun! In this way, drop off is encouraged for children of age or as comfortable but is not required. Our studio offers comfortable large fabric chairs for parents and nice wooden chairs for party goer seating. The minimum age in studio is 2 years old.
Many parents provide a tasty treat to the kids to take with them (a cupcake or Bundt cake, for example!). You may bring cake OR cupcakes to serve guests and beverages. We have plates, cups, and napkins in various birthday styles if you need or want some. However, we're not a restaurant -- we don't allow anything other than cake or cupcakes (i.e. no food or pizza, etc.).

The cost is simply based on the number of kids (meaning the number of projects painted) that attend the party and the price of their actual projects. We have no sitting fees, party fees, room rental fees, gratuity fees, or cleaning fees. Our staff handles all set-up and clean-up.
The Experience
From birthday parties and celebrations to kid/tween/teen get-togethers... Stress-free planning - Your only job is to send out the invitations. Moms and dads consistently say to us: "That was so easy!". Expect all the party guests to have fun! We have hosted lots of social art parties over the past ten years in our old location in Schaumburg and look forward to providing an excellent experience in Bloomingdale as well.
We specialize in creating the ultimate social art party experience. Our studio design and layout has been optimized to provide the maximum level of comfort and creative vibe. We offer over 100 glaze colors and creative tools... Our guests receive immediate one-to-one help and advice. We carry hundreds of different ceramic projects to select from, our inventory is always changing and expanding...
Party Scheduling
Scheduling for child parties is limited. Book your party far enough in advance to get the day you want or need! If you need a last-minute party, give us a call ~ we're happy to help if the schedule allows...
Party Invitations
As for child party invitations, after you've booked your party, we can send you the URL link to the invitations page. Just ask! There, you can download the images for use in email or the PDF file for use in double-sided printing.
Party Decorations
There will be a custom printed "Happy Birthday" sign for your child's party. You may bring decorations that are free-standing (i.e. not taped or affixed to the walls)! We ask that if you bring helium balloons, they must be weighted before arrival as we have high ceilings and they could get stuck up there! A table will be available for gifts or any other purpose you wish.
Gift/Goodie Bags
You may bring "goodie bags" for guests if you'd like, but they need to be handed out to the kids only at the front door or outside as they are leaving the studio. Amazing and disappointing to say, but host moms have included (but very rarely!) noise makers or bags of glitter - oh no!

Party Projects
For pottery painting child parties, your child and his/her guests will get to choose from a large array of pottery piece(s). We help and provide instruction as needed/desired and make it a fun, relaxed experience for the kids.
The Takeaway
With a unique hand-made treasure as a special momento of his/her friend's party, your child and his/her guests benefit in numerous ways ~ creativity ~ socialization ~ life-long memories ~ decorative or functional artwork.

Party Packages for Kids
All parties for young children are 90 minutes (i.e. 1.5 hours) in duration. The party ends promptly at the 1.5 hour mark with all guests leaving the studio so we can clean the space. Please encourage your child's guests to arrive on time so they have maximum time having fun together.

Pottery Painting Party You simply pay 24 per party project including tax (includes pottery). Occasionally birthday child parent(s) wish the kids to paint larger pieces, which is fine, all prices are marked. Having a general party, each painter selects one pottery item from our vast selection (projects vary, based upon current inventory). Or consider having a themed party: "Motor Madness", "Happy Animals", "Fancy Figures", or "Ice Cream Bowls". Stop by to learn more about the pricing, availability, etc. Or consider a higher budget-based party: You decide on an amount over 24 per person and your guests simply select from our vast selection of paint your own pottery (pricing is clearly marked). Pottery pieces are typically ready for pick up one week (i.e. 7 days) later, unless another time-line is discussed in advance. |
How to Book a Child Party
PLEASE NOTE: The following three conditions must be met - before sending out any invitations to have a party at our studio.
1. Have you completed the online party information form here? Please don't call our studio until you've filled out this form for us. We need to understand your party needs first. Child Private Party Request
2. Have you paid the 25 dollar party booking fee? This is non-refundable except in instances in which there isn't mutually agreeable time slot for your party. Not all days or times are available for child parties. Scheduling is at our sole discretion. Party Booking Fee
3. Have you received a text or an email confirmation from Art Fuzd in which we've confirmed that the day and time requested is confirmed? Is your party posted on our Party Space Calendar? If so, the party is 100% booked and you can send out invitations. You should have received some party planning URLs in your confirmation email.
4. If both of the times and/or days that you requested on your form are not feasible, instead of an email confirmation you would have received a phone call, a text, or an email detailing scheduling options that are available for your party. Until you've paid the party booking fee and you've then received the email confirmation and party planning URLs, you have not booked the party. Please do not send out invites if #1, #2, and #3 are not all met.
Side Note: Our apologies if this section is off-putting to some of you. We've had a few instances recently in which people called, we talked with them, they were going to talk it over or think about it, and they call back weeks later saying "but I talked to you!" or "what do you mean, someone else (after 2 weeks!) took MY party slot!?" If the first three items above aren't met, you don't have a party booked.
To hold your party time/day there is a Party Booking Fee (25.00). After you submit the form, you may stop in, call us, or complete the process on-line.
